Walking Around Shinbashi 新橋

投稿日:2020年8月25日 更新日:

Shinbashi is known as the birthplace of Japanese railways. It is a business district connected to Marunouchi and Shinagawa and is famous as a town for office workers. Originally, Shinbashi was prosperous as a lively town where many samurai houses lined up since the Edo period, and many people come and go. In the Meiji era, when the first Japanese railway between Shinbashi and Yokohama opened, it became the starting station on the Tokyo side and was crowded with many people. Also, after the war, a black market was opened, and there were many things that couldn’t be obtained, and many people gathered in search of supplies. My walking video is introduced on the Youtube channel.
